Welcome November! The holiday season is upon us! What a wonderful time of year to give gratitude for life, health, and all of the small daily wins!
As we approach the end of our second 6 weeks and begin our final fall semester units! We love being able to witness your child's growth mentally and physically! We are grateful to be part of your child's life journey!
This month we kick off one of our most special months called Peru-giving. Last year as a studio we raised $600 that directly impacted the children in Peru through the Warrior organization. Money raised will directly go towards sustainable energy investment for the jungle village by using the money to purchase solar panels on their homes and business as the village currently run electricity for 3 hours a day using a generator. Money will also help purchase supplies and clothing for the All Girls Orphanage in Cusco. This orphanage is a safe haven for young girls ages 11 - 17 that are victims of sex trafficking. Finally, supplies and resources such as diapers, cleaning supplies, and food are delivered to the refuge home of Mother Teresa where they take in all ages that have been left abandoned due to their needs.
360 students last year participated not only in monetary donations but also by leaving a lasting imprint on each child that we served in Peru. Rubber band bracelets that are made by our students are passed out to each person that interact with while in Peru. This became a simple but yet lasting imprint on their hearts.
This year our goal is to raise $1000 as a studio and also send over 1000 bracelets by November 20th! If your child attends a Prairie elementary school, in their Spanish classes they will also be participating in bracelet making and learning about the Peruvian culture! We love being able to team up with the College Community World Language Staff to make this mission make an impact this month!
IF we meet our goal by November 20th of $1000 and 1000 bracelets, Studio 360 is going to put on a FREE GLOW party for the entire studio on Friday, January 27th! This will be a fun time that will include glow sticks, dancing and fun for FREE AND to up it even MORE we will have a PIE your teacher time during the party where selected students will pie a teacher! Bring A Friend to Dance Week!
Dance friends make the BEST friends! Share the love of dance with your friends, neighbors, or cousins! Pass out your invitation and bring a friend to class next week! If your friend decides to enroll in class you will earn a $35 credit on your account as a thank you!
Storybook Nutcracker @ Festival of Trees
Come see us out in the community on November 19th at 11am as the Festival of Trees returns to Cedar Rapids! Admission is free for those under 18 IF they bring a non-perishable food item! Come celebrate the start of the holiday season AND see our Nutcracker and 360 All Star Community Team Perform starting at 11am!
No School Day Camp!
No School for Prairie on November 7th! Come spend the day at Studio 360! Spend the day with friends, crafts, dancing, tumbling, and more!
Reminders
Now Offering the 360 Snack Barre! Does your dancer have a wait and need a snack? We now have purchasable snacks! Stop by the front desk to learn more!
Lobby Etiquette!
We are a community with a shared space! Most nights are very busy! A few reminders to help make the community enjoyable for all! Thank you!
Tables in the cafe are for dancers needing to eat. Please sit in the general lobby area to help make room for those that need a place to eat. Thank you!
After eating please pick up all trash and throw away. Check the floor and pick up any thing that has fallen.
Please wipe the area that you were eating down. Young dancers can ask for assistance.
Wash your hands before and after eating!
No tumbling, rough house, or tag is allowed. Please have a quiet activity for your child to do while waiting.
No standing or running on furniture.
Dancers can read books and color while waiting however please pick up before going into class.
Please help us and keep the shoes out of the walkway. Please put all shoes in the cubbies or off to the side.
Spring Enrollment
For currently enrolled students, registration will begin on Monday, November 7th - Thursday, November 10th. Enrollment will open to the public on Friday, November 11th.
Students must re-enroll for the new semester. Take advantage of the early enrollment as placements are not guaranteed.
All students enrolled participate in the Annual Spring recitals held on Friday, June 2nd and 3rd. NEW: Showcase students will perform on Saturday, June 3rd. Recital packet will be available January 2nd.
As a currently enrolled family no fee is collected at time of registration.
Costume purchase window will begin January 2nd - January 31st on the Studio 360 Boutique. Updates will follow!
New policy for 2023: All families must be enrolled in automatic payment on the 1st of month.
New Operating System: Studio 360 is adapting a new operating system starting January 1. You will see these changes when you register for classes. Be on the look out in your emails and the Studio Family Facebook Page for more updates!
